Last week on Massively wow gold
2010/8/7
Last week on Massively wow gold
I understand GC point about variability. Yes, as an enhance shaman I have wow gold more buffs cheap wow gold then a Deathknight. From that point of few, it's almost understandable to say 'well they can have higher dps and make their buffs easier to apply, because you can still give more buffs then a DK. However, I'm not just competing against a DK. I'm competing against a MM hunter, who can supply my attack power buff. I have to jocky for a mage, who can now give them heroism and a spellpower buff (more of a hit to ele shammies, but enhance did have an improve FT totem).
All of these classes can out dps an enhance shaman now, and there shaoleyayini are plenty cheap wow gold of caster classes (see EVERYONE) that can out do an elemental shaman too. As our buffs get spread out more and more, it becomes harder and harder to justify bringing a dps shaman to a raid. Yes, they might up our dps significantly enough that we are competitive. Yes, we're complaining about our viability in raids that no one's even seen yet, let alone seen if we're viable in them. The thing is, we have 5 years of history to go on. A shaman's dps has never been competitive compared to the other classes, and it's always been justified as being about our utility. And every expansion, they seem to auction off that utility to the highest dpser. If they finally bring us up to par dps wise, awesome. You can give mages and deathknights, and paladins, every buff under the sun. If WotLK is any indication, however, I better get use to raiding resto...
VEGETA! WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVEL!?
IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!
Sometimes you'd like to know that there are other MMOs out there, right? It's not all WoW, all aion kinah the time! Our sister site Massively can provide you with everything you need to know about all of the other MMOs around: past, present and future.
Over a year ago, Richard Garriott filed a lawsuit against his former employer, NCsoft. There was a lot of wow gold back and forth regarding aion kinah who said what, but the crux of the suit was that Garriott claimed NCsoft terminated him, costing him millions, as he was forced to sell his stock options at a bad time. NCsoft claimed that the opposite was true: Garriott left voluntarily. Head on over to Massively for the nitty gritty on the court case.
Despite assurances as recently as last month that EverQuest II wouldn't be going free-to-play, Sony Online Entertainment recently announced that the game is doing just that ... sort of. EverQuest II Extended is slated for a beta launch on August 17th, and features a separate server set providing all of the game's original content via the insanely popular F2P business model.
The Old Republic's Sin City has been announced: Nar Shaddaa What happens in Nar Shaddaa stays in Nar Shaddaa. How many unique locations can you fit in one one game? Well, according to wow gold the developers at BioWare, one more. Star Wars: The Old Republic is now up to 14 planets wow power leveling with the addition of this center for the criminal underworld.
Guild Wars 2 level cap confirmed at 80 It's been a huge question for months: What will be the level cap for Guild Wars 2? Eager fans have grabbed onto wow gold every piece of wow power leveling information looking for clues over time, and now Isaiah "Izzy" Cartwright, Guild Wars 2 game designer, confirmed it: the level cap will be 80. However, there will be no leveling curve in Guild Wars 2, dragging out those final levels. Level 79 will take just as long to conquer as level 1 did.

Have Fun!

This Buff Homogenizing business wow gold

This Buff Homogenizing business wow gold
We already know that the developers do not plan to code healing based around cheap wow gold this ability, but I can tell you this mastery is a welcome addition. In lower content, I find myself having to heal other members of the group and taking my attention away from the tank long enough that he gets dangerously low on health. Having that little extra boost to go along with the boost to Unleash Elements and Greater Healing Wave is beneficial.
As far as how much mastery rating on gear equals a bonus, numbers are still in flux and I suspect cheap wow gold they will change, but it looks like 93 rating per one mastery point. That mastery point is what will increase your mastery effect, but one mastery point may not translate exactly into a 1 percent bonus. The example cited for this was that a beast master hunter with +2 mastery would gain +4 percent pet damage. We also get Restoration Mail Specialization. Developers stated that players would be rewarded for wearing armor specific to their classes. So a restoration shaman wearing all mail gear gets a bonus of an additional 5 percent intellect. This encourages you to ignore those cloth drops and focus on mail gear. This helps to address the issue of gear competition so that generally speaking, you will only be going for one type of armor. That 5 percent bonus int is fairly large for us, as well, as int not only gives us a larger mana pool, it is also the stat that drives our spellpower. Any bonus to that shaoleyayini total will only help us in the long run.
Not a very eventful week compared to others, true, but some good wow gold information wow power leveling nonetheless. Next week, I will be doing a shaman mail bag again. I have been receiving a number of Cataclysm-centric questions and feel it is time to find some answers for folks. So if you have any restoration shaman Cataclysm questions, feel free to email me or send me a direct message on Twitter and I will do my best to find answers to the questions you seek! Also you should take a look at the new shaman community that many members of the community have been hard at work at, Totemspot. TotemSpot is still currently in beta, so expect things to change, but it is live. There is a wiki, a forum and a blog and news section. You should swing by and check it out!
Why would anyone be concerned with being replaced in Catalcysm? if you are good enough at your wow power leveling class and do what you are meant to do in your raid environment (i.e. be on time, show up with flasks, put your best effort into the whole raid from start to finish) then your raid spot should be quite safe.
Sure a couple of guilds will down size to 2x 10mans. But as I said above, if YOU excel then you have nothing to worry about. So be excellent.
(note: If I was a guild leader I would probably just recruit another 6-7 and make 3 10mans with the awesome lee-way of Runescape money an extra 5-6 people for 25s on a given night...theoretically...)
BTW didn't a Blue say that the Totem Ranges might be bumped wow gold up to 100 yards. That would alleviate some of the Positioning Issues.
Since all of this Buff Homogenizing business is going on I am hoping we end up getting the Strength of the Storm ( aion kinah ) spell (in Totem or Aura form) that Melgromm Highmountain was rocking at the Stair of Destiny.
You havnt played a shaman for long. The same was said in the transition between TBC and WotLK. Yet shaman DPS has been repeatedly nerfed with every tier of content b/c it was "too high" and yet the best performing DPS shaman in high end ICC is still all the way at the bottom of meters on every fight.
Point being - regardless of hard numbers. It is safe to assume, from every serious shamans point of view, that shaman DPS will suck and the only thing that we will bring to a raid is a set of four pretty sticks on the ground.
With every other class being able to bring at least one buff a Shaman wow gold can bring, especially with wow gold Mages bringing Heroism and the Spellpower buff and much higher dps. Either DPS shaman need to be brought in line with comparable classes, or other classes need to be brought down to a shamans level. Chain Heal is nice, but it's not why I play this class.
Good luck!

Something we hear a lot-_-WoW Power Leveling

Something we hear a lot-_-WoW Power Leveling
Bring the player, not the class is something we hear a lot wow power leveling and have been hearing since Wrath of the Lich King was still in beta. In The Burning Crusade, raids would stack certain classes based on what buff they had to offer, such as a shaman for every group to maximize Hero-Lust. Ghostcrawler raises a good point, though: We have a versatility that is hard to match with any one class. We can do the job of many and switch gears on the fly regardless of spec. The cost of course is that you have to position the totems correctly in order to gain maximum benefit. This utility makes shaman -- and paladins -- highly desirable in raids. GC did have a few more responses later in the thread, but this next one pretty much says it all.
I didn't ignore it. I just disagree with it. It may wow power leveling be 28 pages, but there is wow power leveling a lot of QQ mixed in there with the intelligent posts (like Strawberry's).
Throughout the history of WoW, the problem has typically been shaoleyayini that shaman (and paladin to be fair) bring wow power leveling too much utility and are therefore considered too mandatory. They started out in vanilla as buff classes -- the guys you bring who don't really do much themselves but bring buffs and debuffs that make every other class perform better. You couldn't for example just stack your raid with rogues and mages because their performance would be low without the shaman and paladins -- and before LK you had to bring enough to stick one in every group.
Now, we decided to change that design because we didn't think it felt very satisfying to be the buff bot spec who got brought along as if the player were some kind of scroll or flask to improve wow power leveling the "real players" performance. On the other hand, we knew it would be really brutal to the shaman and paladin to just rip away all of their utility and give them the typical 2 or so raid buffs that most other classes or spec get.
But we've definitely eroded it a little, and I'm not going to apologize wow power leveling much for that because we want to give players flexibility -- and flexibility means you can do a raid, especially a 10-player one, without a shaman or paladin. Nobody should be Wedding Dresses mandatory, except for a tank and a few healers. Nobody should be left out either, but the specs who got left out in LK did so because of low dps -- Arms, Frost mage and Subtlety rogue. Shaman did fine.
Believe me, I have thought long and hard about scrapping the entire buff / debuff system because players focus on it too much. But I know that if we did that, players would then focus too much on damage per second and healing per second of the best players out there. We also think it would be unfortunate to Wedding Dresses lose that sense of being so much more powerful in a group than you are solo.
For now, in Cataclysm, we are just sharing even more of the buffs and debuffs across a wide gamut, especially very powerful ones like Bloodlust and Battle Rez, and chilling out the impact of some of the more potent ones, say Sunder and Curse of Elements, while also cutting back on the sheer number of buffs brought by say the Ret paladin and Balance druid.
I am much more interested in discussions about say shaman dps totems and wow power leveling healing totems than I am about buff totems, because we believe the latter have much less to do with either your getting to raid or your raid being succesful.
Certainly that is a lot to digest. For all the people concerned that we will be replaced in Cataclysm, it certainly doesn't seem like that is Blizzard's goal. We may lost some of our more unique buffs from totems, but I don't think we will suffer as much as some seem to think. For all the buffs wow power leveling being shared, we still have our versatility and as healers, we still bring our own flavor -- and it doesn't look like anyone else will be getting Chain Heal any time soon. I also find it interesting that Blizzard wants to look at healing totems, as that is something some shaman feel very strongly about. Healing Stream Totem, for example, is sometimes discounted simply because it is a passive heal, but what if it also augmented our healing done? I could see it getting tweaked, but only time will tell if that is even a possibility.
Really hope it would be useful!!

See what is new WoW Power Leveling

See what is new WoW Power Leveling
Want to be a sultan of swing healing? A champion of Chain Heal? Totem Talk: Restoration will wow power leveling show you how, brought to wow power leveling you by Joe Perez, otherwise known as Lodur from World of Matticus and the For The Lore podcast
Last week we talked a little bit about the leveling experience shaoleyayini in Cataclysm so far as a wow power leveling restoration shaman from 80 on up. I was pleased to find out that it wasn't much slower than pure DPS and afforded a leveling, healing shaman quite a bit of survivability to get through the quests and to take on opponents much larger than we are. I was also pleased to see epic quests that seemed to have healers in mind, like the Ragnaros quest event. Before that, we talked about how fast gear is being replaced come Cataclysm and what type of upgrades have been spotted so far.
This past week has not been filled with as much excitement as others before it. There hasn't been aion power leveling too much in the way of earth-shattering news, but even so, some new information has been popping up regarding some more changes coming in Cataclysm, complete with an appearance by our main underwater dweller himself, Ghostcrawler (Blizzard's lead systems designer).
Take a look after the break to see what is new.
Totems, buffs and being unique
One of the biggest things that people have been talking about aion power leveling these past few wow power leveling weeks has been the homogenization of classes. With mages getting Time Warp, some shaman are feeling slighted. This, coupled with our wow power leveling losing some of our versatility through changes to dispel that take away our ability to remove poison and disease, plus the loss of Cleansing Totem, has sparked a series of questions regarding our utility and the buffs provided through our totems. Many have begun to draw the parallels between shaman totems that can easily be replaced by other class abilities. Some examples include:
Because that is pretty much all the DK gets.
The shaman on the other hand gets to choose among aion kina Strength of Earth Totem, Windfury Totem, Wrath of Air Totem, Flametongue Totem, Tremor Totem, Healing wow power leveling Stream Totem, resistance Totems and Earthbind Totem, which doesn't even count Bloodlust / Heroism, and things like Unleashed Rage or Elemental Oath. If your buff was as competitive as theirs aion kina and you had so much versatility, we fear we'd see raids with many, many shaman in them. As it is, there's still a good chance for 3 shaman in a 25-player raid, while the DKs might get 2 slots if they're lucky.
You should get a slot because you are a good player, not because your buff rules.

Mastery and totems and crabs, oh my! WoW Gold Guide
2010/8/7
Mastery and totems and crabs, oh my! WoW Gold Guide
Well, there's theory, and then there's practice. The realities are that while buy wow gold the game developers wow gold are apparently wholly behind the concept of "bring the player", and much of the playerbase is too, at end-game levels, min-maxxing has always resulted in raid composition being selected based on the specific combination of buffs and abilities. And although not everyone plays the game at "end-game" levels, the fact is that such behaviors trickle down. Even sites that have available strat guides will also weigh-in on raid composition. One easy example was Blood Council, where for months it was wholeheartedly believed that you simply could not win that fight without a warlock to collect the blue orbs, and tank one of the bosses. Patently false, as we now know, but many ICC raids wouldn't go in the door without the mandatory 'lock.
At present, the only buff shamans bring that cannot be replicated (and often in an improved form) by another class is Hero/Lust. And that's being spread to another class. Hence, there's some concern that, lacking such uniqueness, you might not be as competitive for a raid slot. "Just be excellent", frankly, is pretty useless advice.
Myself, I'm going to wait to see more. It's too early to worry too much, but I do wow power leveling have a level of concern. Part of it springs from GC's belief that "it felt unsatisfying" to be brought along as a "buff bot". I'd counter that people do like to feel that they have a unique contribution. But both positions could be argued, so again, I'm going to wait and see. Hopefully, the beta will continue to provide them enough data that they won't overcompensate in the wrong
There's a major reason why GC ignores all the 'why bring an Enhancement Shamen wow power leveling when a Dk brings the same buffs and better damage' arguements. It's because this is a beta, the level cap is not even 85 yet and the final damage for each spec is most definately not finished yet! And hey, get this - Mastery was implemented for a reason! It's a couple of simple tweaks for each class and spec that they can adjust on the fly in order to balance everything out. Say the QQ was correct and it turned out that DKs did do a lot more damage than Enhancement Shamans. Even 20% more. Next build, the mastery controls for enhancement has been fliddled, and now enhancement shamans do 20% more damage across the board. No talent changes, no risk of over buffing or under buffing, or creating a new talent that can bug out and break everything. They just adjust the easy numbers to balance everything out.
In Cata, raid leaders will be able to get all the shaoleyayini buffs they want with a lot of configurations aion power leveling in both 10 man and 25. you want a raid spot? Be the best player. Don't blame your class, don't complain 'why bring me?'. In Cataclysm, that DK will do more damage than you because he is a better player than you. Complaining about getting dropped from a raid spot when the beta's barely begun is just juvenile.
Note: This isn't aimed at anyone in particular. I'm just getting annoyed at wow gold all the QQ aion power leveling about imaginary numbers that don't exist yet.
Because unlike resto enhance brings very little in that slot thanks to the buffs being replaced. On fact the context of that forum thread was that there is no reason to drop totems. Aside from fire, and utility totems for gimmick fights, there isn't.
Why bring an enhance shaman when a dk brings the same buffs and does more damage? Why bother with elemental when you have a moonkin that with the Mage has all rs gold the elemental shaman's buffs, they both do better damage and the moonkin can battle Rez.
In any case, GC's comment was pretty bad for shaman. I have no dropped anything aside from a damage fire totem in a aid in a year. There are better versions of the buffs in the raid.
Now let's make guesses on how blessin of might baseline compares with mana spring with 2 talent points wow gold put into it. My guess us that the baseline wow gold might (adds attack power too!) will be 1 pt higher so the resto shaman's totem doesn't overwrite it.

Really hope it would be useful to you and good luck!

Troll druids: suck or win? WoW Gold
2010/8/7
Troll druids: suck or win? WoW Gold
Every Tuesday, Shifting Perspectives explores issues affecting buy wow gold feral/restoration druids and those who group with them. This week, we get a beta key, and maybe a little sloshed.
After getting a beta key, it was my intent to hit the servers and wow gold write an FAQ/reader buy wow gold mailbag-type column, but I'm not going to do that today. I'm going to answer my questions, not yours. I don't care about any of you.
Well, that's not true. I do care. But I've been in the beta for less than a week and:
Half the stuff we've read about has been scrapped or just hasn't aion gold been implemented. The other half is a writhing mass of angry, toxic bugs. The servers crash like that drunk buddy who swore he'd only be on your couch for a few days but is still there weeks later and you poke him with a stick every morning to make sure he's alive and unfortunately he is. About the most I could do without pulling several consecutive all-nighters was level a worgen and troll druid to level 13 as quickly as I could. Oh, and wipe a Blackwing Caverns group several times over.
Because classes have been replaced in past expansions. It is something you wow gold always have wow power leveling to worry about slightly when massive changes are being made. With the idea Blizzard is attempting to bring to the table we will find a very delicate balance. As shown right now many realms operate off of pure gear score, and require certain classes in raids. How many night do you hear someone yelling for a required priest in trade chat vs a holy pally.
People are worried because Blizzard is working to shaoleyayini balance all the class roles so that wow power leveling people want to bring people who are good, vs someone who is in the right class. While this works great in theory in application we will see issues. They won't get it perfect the with the release, and changes will be made to compensate.
By the time Cat comes out we will have a good idea of what things are going to Runescape gold look like, but right now we only have bits and pieces and well people are worried because they are changing the game massively.
Readers beware: while I may not answer any useful questions past the cut, there are still a few serious spoilers here.
The simple truth is that I can't answer a lot of questions about how feral wow gold and resto are playing on the beta because neither's really functional at the moment; you can heal, tank or DPS, but none of their respective trees are finished and a lot of core talents and abilities are bugged. My main's also stuck at level 80, so no Thrash, Stampeding Roar or Wild Mushroom yet. So I'm just going to have fun with some general stuff I'd been wondering about ever since we confirmed that the alpha had dropped.
Leaning toward win, with the occasional grant-funded expedition into the darkest wow gold heart of suck. The forms are a little ... um ... garish. I can't say I was really chuffed to be saddled with yet another set of Horde druid forms (see: tauren cat form, old and hideous version of), where the animal would be physically unable to bite anything were it unfortunate enough to exist in the real world. I guess I like a little reality in my escape from reality. Their braids are also buggy right now and remain stiff regardless of whatever position the cat's in, resulting in a certain hilarity whenever the cat stretches, yawns, jumps, attacks or basically does anything at all.
I don't know. The forms are thoroughly appropriate to what trolls look like in game, warts and all, but I just think they're ugly. If you play a troll on the live realms and like how they look, you'll probably like their forms. If you don't play a troll on the live realms (and the vast majority of players don't; trolls and dwarves are still duking it out for the honor of least-played race) and you don't like how they look, you probably won't like their forms.
Thanks for reading and have fun.
